Corporate Governance Audit
“Corporate Governance” is the process by which organisations are directed and controlled. Principles of corporate governance include independence and objectivity of management, accountability and performance management.
The emphasis will be on the board and the organisation structure, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) with some focus on the internal decision making processes and whether they are in line with organisations strategic focus.
Corporate Governance Audit is designed to provide a level of assurance over the processes of Corporate Governance. A mix of substantive audit work will be done where practical to provide evidence of the operation of processes along with interviewing key employees and assimilating their views and perceptions on how the systems are working.
